Dark Sky Land, Inc a non-profit corporation focused on preserving New Mexico’s Night Ecology.

Our mission is to rapidly preserve a 600-mile astro-wildlife corridor from the hidden impact of light pollution’s existential threat to wildlife, astronomy, human health, biodiversity, bird migration.

Dark Sky Land is a transdisciplinary preservation initiative dedicated to protecting the night sky in an already exceptionally wild and dark New Mexico region.

Our strategy is to introduce a futuristic model of interdisciplinary collaborations; by inspiring knowledge, expanding consciousness and imagination through art and science, practice sustainability, and deepening our ancestral connection to the cosmos.

Founded in 2023, Dark Sky Land, Inc is a non-profit corporation growing from a series of advocacy based Interdisciplinary projects with local groups, individuals and organizations that are actively taking action to protect New Mexico’s Night Skies, National Forests, Wildlife, Biodiversity, Native Wisdom, Space Science, Culture, Freedom, Imagination.

We are currently working hand-in-hand with the New Mexico DarkSky International Chapter, to nominate new DarkSky International Parks-Sanctuaries-Places-Communities, as well as re-introducing the New Mexico Dark Sky Protection Act of (1999) to the Legislature in 2025.
