ASTRONOMICAL WILDERNESS
At High altitude, 8K above sea level, a remote but not isolated place to see the Milky way (our Galaxy) with the naked eye. Pristine Starry nights, measuring Bortle Class 1 - 2 Dark Skies. Dry Climate and temperatures dropping as low as 15 in winter time, making it one of the best star gazing regions in the world. Dark Sky Land is home to world class private and federal observatories as well as Wilderness Reserves and National Forests.

INTERDISCIPLINARY BACKGROUND
Dark Sky Land's background connection to Magnetic Laboratorium involves over a decade long experience of successful International multidisciplinary collaborations. Dark Sky Land's mission points to our lost connection to the stars above and how we are reimagining our place in space, as we strive to invent new sustainable ways of inhabiting earth, in an era of planetary environmental crisis. We are creating a cosmic observation refuge for the present and for the future generations.
-
TRANSDISCIPLINARY VISION
An Arts & Space Science Research-Residency CENTER with a strategy that involves collaboration across multiple disciplines creating a holistically adventurous approach to observation and collaborative projects.

CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TRAIL COALLITION
Right in the middle of Dark Sky Land's astro-wilderness corridor is the Continental Divide of the Americas (also known as the Great Divide - CDT). A hydrological divide of the Americas extends from the Bering Strait to the Strait of Magellan, and separates the watersheds that drain into the Pacific Ocean from those river systems that drain into the Atlantic and Arctic oceans, including those that drain into the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea, and Hudson Bay. From the Rocky Mountains to the Andes. Continental Divide Trail Coalition | https://cdtcoalition.org
