DARK SKY LAND | FILM

An interstellar archive of night sky ecology, human, biodiversity, and wildlife preservation in an era of unprecedented planetary transformation.

From one of the darkest regions in the world, a breathtaking and intriguing immersive voyage into the self, the cosmos and the natural world.

A multi-part interdisciplinary project about a night sky region conservation movement.

The project takes place in a New Mexico high desert landscape of natural darkness, with an insightful look at the fear of darkness, the hidden impact of light pollution’s existential threat to human health, astronomy, wildlife, biodiversity, pollinators, and cultural heritage.

A story of how looking into the Cosmos from earth is inexorably interrupted by light and noise pollution’s hidden threats.

Dark Sky Land advocacy, seeks to protect a 200-mile astronomical-wildlife corridor for future generations. The proximity to Aldo Leopold Wilderness in the Gila National Forest, the Continental Divide Trail, and to the Center of an ancient astro-archeological world, Chaco Canyon, is an inspiration to synergistically engage with ancestral communities, cultures, nature explorers, space science, the environment.
